Microsoft is still one of the largest independent software vendors for the Apple Mac OS X operating system. I’ve used Office 2004 in my iBook and with the new MacBook, I’m trying out Office 2008. Performance wise, it’s so-so, but with the latest updates the applications seem much more responsive.

Apple has released the latest update to the Mac OS X operating system, version 10.5.2. This is a relatively heavy update with a lot of fixes. Some of the improvements affect Active Directory, AirPort, BTMM, Dashboard, Dock, Finder, iCal, iChat, iSync, Mail, Preview, Safari, Time Machine, and more. The update weighs in between 180MB and 300+MB, based on your hardware.

Just one day after releasing the latest (final?) update for Mac OS X Tiger, Apple has released the first update for its new operating system, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. The 10.5.1. update packs a number of bug fixes and enhancements, including for Airport, Back to My Mac, Mail, Networking and Time Machine.
