iLife ’09 will be available in late January. It will be free with new Macs (as always) and will cost you $79 if you want to buy it. Apple’s new iLife ’09 suite includes improved iMovie and Garageband. New in iMovie ’09:

I’m watching the Macworld ’09 Apple keynote now. They just announced a new version of iPhoto. iPhoto ’09 has been updated with more features :
- facial tagging and detection / recognition
- geotagging (manually or automatically, if your camera/phone supports it)
- Flickr and Facebook integration
- sync slideshows with iPhone and iPod touch
One of the more popular applications for organizing photos on the PC is Picasa by Google. Now at version 3.0, the Windows-only software is free and integrates well into the Google ecosystem. Now Mac users can play Picasa, too, with the release of Picasa for Mac.
