iPhone, Safari, Airport Extreme and Mac OS X Security updates

Apple has released a few new software updates. The Apple iPhone 1.01 firmware update comes just over a month after the device was released. You can get the iPhone update via iTunes. The update doesn’t address the long list of bugs that have been compiled elsewhere, but specifically fixes a critical Safari bug that allowed malicious users to take control of an iPhone.
Safari for Windows also gets a similar security update, up to version 3.0.3.
We also get Security Update 2007-07 for Mac OS X Panther (10.3) and Mac OS X Tiger (10.4). The update brings updated components for a variety of compontents, including bzip2, CFNetwork, Core Audio, cscope, gnuzip, Kerberos mDNSResponder, PDFKit, PHP, Quartz Composer, samba (Windows networking), and WebKit/WebCore (used in Safari and other Web-based applications).
Finally, if you have an Intel Mac, there’s an update (2007-004) for Airport Extreme. This update improves reliability for all Intel-based MacBook, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini owners that improves the reliability of AirPort connections.
