Apple iPhone : how to use the keyboard

No, there are no plans to change the name of this website to iPhoneObsession. However, with just one more day to the official iPhone launch, how can you not be just a little bit excited? Apple has released yet another video of the iPhone, this time focusing on one of the functions that has worried most potential buyers, i.e. the virtual keyboard.
The video demonstrates the “smart typing” feature that offers suggestions for misspelled words. It also shows a never before seen feature of the keyboard, a magnifying glass thingy that allows you to reposition your cursor while typing.
You can also download a large version (67MB) of the video to your Mac or PC.

Most of the features which the iPhone lacks (e.g. MMS functionality, video capture) could possibly be upgraded in software or firmware over-the-air. However, the biggest drawback that the iPhone faces now is the quality of the cellular network (i.e. AT&T) that it uses. All four reviews of the iPhone so far are less than positive about AT&T’s EDGE network.
If you’re still set on buying the iPhone, and you don’t have an Apple Store near you, use the AT&T store locator to find the nearest AT&T store that will stock the iPhone.
