While we wait for Snow Leopard to drop, Apple has released an update to the current Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. The 10.5.8 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Leopard and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac.

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard available for preorder

We only have a couple of months to go before Apple officially releases the latest version of the Mac OS X operating system, Snow Leopard. Compared to previous versions, this latest upgrade of Mac OS X has less new features, but has a lot of improvements under the hood. Because of this, Apple has wisely priced it to move — if you have 10.5 Leopard, you can upgrade to Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard for just US$29.
