Website Review : Website Design Ideas

Apple iPhone 1.1.1 Update released

As expected, Apple has released the iPhone 1.1.1 update. It’s a big update by iPhone standards, so much so that they actually came up with a video on the new features. Some users of SIM-locked iPhones have reported problems after the update, so if you have one of those, it might be a good idea to wait a while.

iPhone in Germany with T-Mobile

Looks like the Apple iPhone is invading Europe one step at a time. Yesterday, Steve Jobs was in the UK launching the iPhone with O2. Today, he’s in Germany, launching the iPhone with T-Mobile. In Germany, Apple will also have the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store. The iPhone in Germany requires a new 2-year T-Mobile tariff and will be available in an 8GB model for €399 (including V.A.T).

Apple launches iPhone in the UK with O2

iPhone in the UK with O2

Well, that was rather anticlimatic. Apple today launched the iPhone in the UK, with O2 as the official carrier. The iPhone will carry a price tag of £269 (including VAT). This translates to roughly US$539, but UK customers are already used to the price disparity practiced by US companies.

Apple Special Event in London today

Psst! Did you hear that Steve Jobs is in London today? You can bet he’s not there just for some Vindaloo curry or a ploughman’s pie. Today Apple is having a “Special Event” at their Apple Store in Regent Street. If Mr Jobs is there, then you know something big is about to happen.

iPod touch arriving in stores

Steve Jobs promised that the Apple iPod touch would be available “in a few weeks”. However, some Apple Stores already have the iPod touch available, just 8 days after the announcement. Here’s a hands-on video by one of the lucky few who managed to grab the Apple iPod touch.

Apple "Special Event" in the UK on Sept 18

Apple has announced a special event on September 18th. The event will be held at the Regent Street Apple Store. So what could the event be about? Dare we hope, a new 16GB, 3G iPhone? If Apple launches the iPhone in Europe, then Christmas 2007 is all in the bag for Apple on both sides of the Atlantic.
