
Apple has released the latest version of their post-production application for professional photographers, Aperture 1.5. Aperture 1.5 delivers compelling new features, including flexible library management that lets you store images anywhere you’d like. The update also introduces third-party extensions that let you use Aperture as the front end to expanded workflows. Aperture 1.5 offers RAW support for more than 50 camera models from a wide variety of manufacturers (including Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Sony, and others) and extends support to all Intel-based Macs — from the Mac mini and MacBook to the Mac Pro.

One thing you can say about Apple these days – they’re not afraid of change! The iPod mini was supposedly the most successful iPod they made … until they replaced it with the iPod nano, with the 5 different colours removed and they went for classic black and white.

Apple has released the latest update for iTunes, their audio & video player/organizer/store. iTunes 7 adds support for new movies and iPod games, CoverFlow (to automatically download graphics of album covers) and includes a Download Manager. iTunes 7 is available now, for both Windows and Mac OS X.

Well, here’s certainly a surprise. Apple has announced that its entire iMac line now has been upgraded. The iMacs include the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor in every model, delivering up to 50 percent faster performance than the previous iMac. Prices are lower, too – starting at US$999.
