Apple’s Mac Pro was announced at the World Wide Developer’s Conference keynote presentation earlier this week.  Steve Jobs mentioned that the Mac Pro was available immediately, so we have just seen several early reviews of the new “fastest Mac ever”.  Eric Bangeman of ArsTechnica has written an 8-page review, complete with benchmarks.

The system reviewed has dual 2.66GHz Dual-core Intel Xeon processors, 1GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, SuperDrive and NVDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphocs card. Eric also covers using Windows XP on the Mac Pro : ” … using Windows on the Mac Pro was a very pleasant experience. The hardware and software felt zippy, and everything… just worked.”

The verdict :
“… the Mac Pro is a very solid graphics or video editing workstation … “
