Apple Aperture Review
December 7th, 2005
Dave Girard at Ars Technica has a massive 9-page review of Apple’s new application for professional photographers, Aperture. As usual, the crew at Ars Technica goes obsessively in-depth – which makes it a must-read review.
The US$500 software application doesn’t get good marks for performance :
“At this point it is an expensive and questionable alternative to Camera Raw, a free extension to Photoshop, and Adobe’s Bridge which can batch produce better quality images in arguably less time.”
For a counterpoint, amateur photographer Tom Bridge also has a review at O’Reilly MacDevcenter.
