30 million iPods shipped
November 28th, 2005

When Apple first introduced the iPod in 2001, I think not even Steve Jobs could have imagined the success and popularity of this portable music (and now video) player. Just how popular is the iPod? Well, we hear that Apple has crossed 30 million units shipped.
Apparently, Apple still has another 7 million to sell this year, since their target is a whopping 37 million by end of December. With demand for the iPod and the superslimiPod nano still going on strong, this looks very achievable.
